MK1 Escort paint & stripping the Super 6 engine
The very early super 6 engine has been stripped and in general pretty good condition, surprise was in had been upgraded to 1700cc specification. Valves, bearings, cam, and bores very good, pistons hardly worn but piston rings are needed. the engine will have a light hone, new rings valves checked new clutch and be ready to drop back in later in the week, still deciding if we will refit the older twin webbers or drop on a new pair?
Colin busy with getting the rear super six axle checked/painted on the S6, new brake and fuel lines, new front and rear suspension, new petrol tank.
